Fencing and Railings

Awnings are most of what we do, but the same crew builds and repairs wood fencing and railings. If you already have us out for an awning, this is worth asking about.

Fences and railings take a beating in Connecticut weather. Posts move, gates drop, rails split and handrails work loose. Some of that is a repair, some of it is easier to rebuild.

We will tell you honestly which one you are looking at when we come out.

Fencing and railing work we do

  • New wood fencing, including privacy, picket and post and rail
  • Gates, gate posts and hardware that has dropped or stopped latching
  • Replacement of rotted posts, rails and boards in an existing run
  • Railings for porches, decks and steps
  • Repairs and re-fixing of loose handrails

What it costs to find out

Nothing. We come out, look at the job and measure it, then give you a price for the work with the options written down. If a photo is enough to price it, we will tell you that instead of making you wait for a visit.

Questions About Fencing & Railings

Do you do vinyl or chain link fencing?

Our usual work is wood. Ask us about anything else and we will tell you straight whether it is a job for us.

Can you repair part of a fence instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. If most of the run is sound, replacing the failed sections is the sensible route.

Do you take on decks?

No. We stick to awnings, fencing, railings and small jobs.

We cover Fairfield County and New Haven County. See the towns we work in.
